Hi Everybody. I am John Sears from Sears Chartered Accountants and today we are going to talk a little bit about me. And basically 3 advantages I would like to talk about that I can argue I have perhaps over your current accountant or other accountants out there.

First one I would like to consider is really a great advantage that I have is that I am able to consider the overall tax perspective from view of the client. I am able to look at the corporation and you as an individual as well as perhaps other shareholders who are better within the corporation or other people you are paying and family members within the corporation and coming up with a strategy that minimizes tax while keeping you on site. That’s the first point.

The second thing that I think separates me from other accountants is I am always here and always available to answer your questions. Whether there be email or whether phone calls, I’d like you to think of me as another member of your team and if you think I am going to charge you for every 5 minutes I talk to you, I won’t. Whether it’s a simple question you send to me through email or if you call me about there will be no charge for the time. I would rather you call me as we go throughout the year. That way at the end of the year, the numbers are much more correct.

And thirdly and another very important point is that I like my clients to think of me not only as their accountant but also as a general business advisor. If anything is going on within your life and your business I would like you to think you can call me and I am able to be a sounding board and give you an objective opinion.
